Narmade Har! Narmade Har !! Narmade Har !!!

A Spiritual Journey

"There are many paths to reach your destination. All are perfect in there own way, but one path — "Narmada Parikarma" is a path which will never fail you. It will take you to your goal, your destination." This is what a Yogi told us.

Recently I had the fortune of taking this spellbinding trip to the ghats with a close friend. We got inspired by Maiyya Chitale of Pune, by her video on the Narmada Parikarma (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpC44F8w9Io&index=2&list=PLitJNHH4YatUP1jnqQ-pgrv-aKHNiURTR). Our hunger to experience and know more about it made us visit the 'Narmada Ghats'.

We had few wishes that we wanted to fulfil on this trip
  1. To stay on the banks of Narmade
  2. Meet a few Narmada parikarma wasis (Narmada pilgrim)
  3. Meet the saints and mahatmas and 
  4. Deep Dan (lighting a lamp at the river) 
To our surprise Maiyya (Mother Narmade) made all our wishes come true. Whatever we saw and experienced, I have tried to compile them for you over here. 

The experience was such magical and spiritual that my words can hardly do justice to it.

With the intention to inspire others through this blog and social media we intend to cover the entire journey in a series of posts and commit ourselves to share facts and figures of the trips in the following ways:
  • Actual photos and videos of Narmade Parikarma wasis
  • Details of how people do the Parikarma
  • 7 Different Ways to do the Parikarma
  • Maps and transport facilities avilable for the Parikrama
  • Spread the glory of Narmada Maiyyaji to other parts of world (digitally)
  • Spread the word and raise our voice to safeguard her clean "Jal" (water)
